A Greener Earth was born over 4 years ago now out of a desire to get people to listen and to care. I have owned and operated a beverage container recycling centre for almost ten years now, and have been interested in recycling for much longer than that. I manage a waste transfer station as well, and I have obtained a deeper understanding of just how wasteful we are. Always wanting more and getting it, we throw more and more away. We take and take but give hardly anything back to the planet that sustains us. Generally speaking, we are spoiled! Without thought we cause daily extinctions, pollute the air we and our children breathe, decimate forests that produce that very air we breathe, complain about the quality and quantity of drinking water while we dump tonnes of pollutants into our waterways and water tables, and on and on. Why? Are we really that greedy and blind? I like to think we aren't, maybe just misguided. We hope to guide you to a less destructive and wasteful path, so keep an open mind and be surprised at how easy it can be to make a difference.
